Dear IGSMA Members;

I hope you all have a relaxing and fun summer.  It is hard to believe it is almost over and we need to get started on another school year.

We had a great spring of contests last year.  Thanks to our hosts schools of Durand and Harlem.  You did a great job!  As of today, Solo and Ensemble Contest will be on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at East Dubuque Jr./Sr. High School.  Organization Contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2009 but we do not have a host school at this time.

Our District 4 Fall Meeting will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Cannova’s Restaurant in Freeport.  The address is 1101 W. Empire St. in Freeport.  It is important all members attend this meeting as we will be discussing and voting on many important issues pertaining to our District and State Organization. 

I hope you will all be able to attend.  Please RSVP by Friday, August 22, 2008 so I can let Cannova’s know the number count.
